Or maybe: Russia wants to attack Odessa from the west? Massive anti-government protests are currently taking place in Moldova. The postulates that appear are, for example, asking Russia for help. Isn't this a ploy for Putin, who is looking for new ways to attack Ukraine? Moldova borders Ukraine and Romania to the west of Odessa. All attempts to land on the port of Odessa were cut short by the preparations of the Ukrainian army. The entry of Russian troops into Moldova will open a new direction of the front (south-west), which will put Ukraine in a very difficult position to defend. Currently, the front is located in the east. Ukrainian forces line the border with Belarus. If they were forced to defend the border with Moldova, it is not known whether they will have enough soldiers. The pro-Russian movements in Moldova do not seem to be aware of the seriousness of the situation and the stakes of the war game they want to involve their country in, pursuing Moscow's goals. They risk their entire society and the stability of the country, how strong the ties of these local politicians with Russia must be that they are able to sacrifice so much.
