Or maybe: Germany is changing the front due to coercion by the NATO alliance and the general arming of Russia. Russia responds by hacking the US nuclear research system. Russia is closing in on China, Iran and North Korea. The US begins to bring its allies closer: South Korea, Japan, Europe. So far, Germany's attitude has been very conservative as regards assistance to Ukraine. They acted as if the war was going to last 30 days and end with Russia's success. I guess they finally understood that Russia was starting to be a real threat to the EU. So also for Germany. The short-sighted policy of Europe's leader turned out to be a mistaken assumption that real trade could be conducted with Russia. Russia showed its true face in the invasion of Ukraine. The Russian Bear has always recognized strength and miscalculated his abilities a bit. But the greatest threat to Europe is Russia's full mobilization in military drafts and arming at full capacity.
