Or maybe: the climate on earth returns to that of 1000 years ago? From 1300 to 1850, Eurasia's glacial cover was much greater than it is today, and from 1570 to 1900 there was a "Little Glaciation" with much lower average temperatures than today in the northern hemisphere. What can this tell us? During the Middle Ages and before Columbus discovered the Americas, temperatures on earth were much higher than they are today. Greenland was inhabited by people who were evacuated before the year 1500. It is possible that the climate is returning to a thousand years ago. And the climate change we are seeing is a natural process. But it turns out that Europe used to be a better climatic place to live than it is now. It is possible that the history of North America, now the USA, before the discovery by Columbus, climatically is not known to mankind. The lack of developed settlement centers may indicate difficult living conditions that existed more than 1,000 years ago. Today we return to this climate and places that have been a great place to live for centuries are changing before our eyes.
